Visualisation

The RCID use a number of multimedia techniques involving computer graphics to illustrate the functionality of engineering product designs. These include images, animations and 2D/3D interactive models running either standalone or over the Internet.  They can be easily used in presentations, training material and marketing to demonstrate product functionality e.g. operation and movement, styling, textures, speech and video links.

Example projects include engineering product and architectural visualisation using 3D Studio Max and Photoshop; Web based interactive 3D products using software languages HTML, Javascript, VRML and Java using a free plug-in to view the 3D model.
